Several small shops will provide most of your needs and there are excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs, all with great food, wines and local beers.
If you require large shops and stores they are all in Newton Abbot 10 - 15 minutes drive away.
There are plenty of activities including sailing, boat trips (Dolphins are sometimes seen), we have an 18 hole approach golf course and a full course nearby. Our Cottage is located on the bowling green in the centre of the village. You might like to visit our small zoo or just relax on the beach or enjoy the local pubs and restaurants.
Cross the estuary to Teignmouth on the oldest passenger ferry in England. Experience how local people use to travel across the estuary 100 years ago.
Current fares are £1.30 per adult and 70p per child for a single, and is still thought to be the quickest and cheapest way to get to Teignmouth. It operates 7 days a week until late in the evening in the summer months and 5 days a week in the winter. The ferry has existed since the 13th Century but now thankfully for the operator, a motor has been installed. On board however, there is still a pair of oars should they ever be needed!
